He seems pretty passionate.

Looks like a big locker room guy, someone who can inspire the whole team at the drop of a helmet.

Seems like a head case but Quinn hasn't disappointed me yet with his defensive picks

he's a nice and stable young man who most likely didn't kill poor, sweet grandma

Yeah, we've got a lot of young talent on that defense, but not a lot of talkers or attitude guys. He might make a good addition to have at least one trash-talking badass in the bunch.

Q wants more pass-rushers, and I don't even know if we're keeping Adrian Clayborne (even if we do, he doesn't have many good years left). Not a sexy pick, but it makes a lot of sense, IMO.

He has a great, inspirational story, seems like he's determined to be successful. Some folks on this board got offended by the big bad dirty words he said on stage.

i'd pay $100 to some squad guy to go up against him on the line and before the snap whisper "i killed your grandma"

His on stage rant aside, they got some solid value IMO.

Locally, people seemed to be frustrated with Vic after his first season because he didn't seem to "care enough" or "show enough passion." This guy seems to be the exact opposite.

Of course, 15 sacks later and you don't hear that same criticism on Beasley anymore.

I feel pretty good about him, I trust Quinn's evaluation of defensive talent.

Really the only thing that would have infuriated me is if we drafted a RB/WR or some shite like that.

I think this Takk kid has the motivation/drive to become great, what I am unsure of is his natural talent (I just haven't watched him play). Everybody who has played/coached him raves about him.

Better hope that grandma dies 16-18 times a year.

Great fit for the defense. This was Quinn's guy. After he talked to him on the phone in the war room, Quinn was fricking pumped.

As for the on-stage interview and the framed picture, I thought it was hysterical and amazing. It was hilarious, but it was also cool to see someone live out his dream.

While many players have come from tough backgrounds, Takk had it pretty rough by any standards. His mother abandoned his family when he was five and he grew in Richmond (think Coach Carter "Rich-what"). He got a D1 scholarship to Cal, but had to go to a JUCO for a year because they said he was non-qualified. It ended up that his high school miscounted his number of credits (how is this possible?) and he was eligible, so he went to UCLA for his sophomore to senior seasons. Biggest concern right now is medical issues, but this is a great fit.

If there were any other team, the majority of this board would say this was a great pick.
