Yes, but it takes guys like these out of the system where they can't commit anymore crimes and reproduce.

Putting someone in jail doesn't take them out of the system.

I'm guessing you meant it takes them out of the loop. But if he does live 30 years and gets out he will commit another crime because he knows nothing else. So maybe longer jail sentences aren't the magical answer. Maybe rehabilitation techniques should be tried.
