for the sake of the city and traffic - cops are "guilty", change their identity and move them to another city under a new name.

No this is BS, you're an idiot for suggesting this, that ain't what this country is about. Alton Sterling was totally in control of this situation, he chose to fight and disobey. The cops shouldn't have to give up their life because a bunch of animals wanna cause trouble. They've already had their lives wrecked, it's time for the city to recognize that the cops are the "victims" in this case.
