Those that went back to school later in life, did you go to your graduation?

I got my BSN this year. Completely online program. My graduation is tomorrow and I'm going. Figure I paid enough for it, might as well officially celebrate it and walk in the ceremony.

I know others that didn't bother going. What did my other fellow OT late learners do?

not exactly the same but I entered a masters program a year after I graduated from undergrad...I didn't want to attend the ceremony but my family was having nothing of it.

I'm definitely going to walk at my Med school graduation though in 2020

No, because I would go through the whole semester and realized I completely missed a coarse by the time finals came around...

No wait, that was a dream...

I didn't walk when I graduated, but I graduated in December and would have had to come back to walk in May since they did not have a Fall graduation ceremony. My parents were pissed but I paid my way through.

Grats Nurse!

You should definitely go and make your entire family sit through the ceremony.

I did only because my wife wanted me to. She helped put me through school so I figure it was the least that I could do.

I did and ended up pissed off, I had the best GPA in my class and the award was given to my arch rival.

IMO I think you should go to graduation, even though it is not a huge deal. To me, if you paid money and worked your arse off for your degree, you might as well celebrate your moment by walking across that stage.

I'm going to be finishing a program at the end of the year that I have been working on part time. I won't go. I didn't want to go the first time around to be honest. I only went because my dad had been through a lot and wanted to see me graduate so I wanted to give that to him.

I went in undergrad. Didn't go when I got my master's. Working on a PhD now. I think you have to pretty much go to it, I don't think you can weasel out of going, or if you can it would be hard to do.

I didn't go to my undergrad or Masters. My brother went to his undergrad, not his Masters.

Walked for my Master's in Engineering when i was 25. Not sure if that qualifies as "late" in life....
