These layoffs have nothing to do with that.
Clay is correct here...people want to watch a sports channel to see sports, not be told how awful we are because our views are contrary to theirs. Apparently, many other people felt the same.
NFL Network, take heed...you're heading in the same direction. I've quit following a lot of their guys on Twitter for the same reason.

i don't watch ESPN for this reason. i don't think i've stopped on ESPN one single time in 2017. and i love sports.
i'm not team trump particularly, but i'm sick and tired of watching content or supporting people where they are getting paid to insult people that may or may not think like me.
