re: Smart home security system options

I had a Honeywell Lynx touch in my previous house which was great. I miss it a bit. Did monitoring through Acadian security which was $25/mo for cellular monitoring.

Edit: I forgot to mention the lynx touch has modules so you could buy only the wifi or cellular and upgrade later to add redundancy or change monitoring type.

I currently have a wink hub 2 with go control sensors that does alerts to phones, etc. It works well.
