Just got back from a 6 city trip in Japan and I agree with pimp.

Fukuoka is probably a little better for the younger kids.

Tokyo is great but it's just a super crowded urban stretch of different shopping and food.

It was great though.

You know what.... do tokyo also and take the hata bus tour for the hour. It was cool and usually hate that type of thing.

The tokyo train station was very nice also.
