I mentioned the changes in defenses over the years to a buddy of mine(huge Lebron fan) a few months ago. He was confused and downright didn't believe that it was different not too long ago.

I gave him a starting point and he went off and did some research about it.

It's fricking eye-opening

I'm a little less harsh on young bucks who side with MJ because they didn't really see how the game was played/how it's evolved since then.

I watch some of the old tapes from the 90s and before and shudder to think of how frightful an athlete like LBJ or Westbrook would be against the defenses of yesteryear.
