He had already been doing it. Had it not lined up, he would have never shot and made his presence known, he could have got them next time. Worked out though, truck is a large target.

He didnt have to get it that saturated for the dogs to hit on it. Doesnt have to kill anyone, he takes them out and no one suspects him.

Makes Tio look bad, instead of giving the respect of having to murder his men to stop him as a threat..all his people are coming off as incompetent, makes him have to deal with them and look like an idiot, incapable of running a territory anymore.

I'm sure Mike had a plan B, if Plan A had not been a Go.
