What if it was raining? The point is the fee, not the purpose. It's $6 for less than a mile during not a busy time

There has to be a floor, kid. There is time and travel involved, and service.

Again, it gives you the price. We could go into all the details of your situation of calling for a ride less than a mile...sounds like it was in the city, or else you would have driven yourself.

I think we all understand that uber wasn't exactly created for half mile rides. Yes, they do them, but it's not the core business (yet)

Please tell me what is cheaper, and then tell me why you didn't use it?

Plus , once again, it shows you the price!

the problem is that driver is coming from wherever they are when you request, and passing on other rides. there are also per ride fees.

What would be deemed a fair cost by you? $4?
