Definitely a mix. I didn't know if I would need them but I'm so glad I picked up those $10 ihome smart plug adapters.
I'm using 4 at the moment.. One on my wink to power cycle the hub in case it ever crashes, one in my screened porch room controlling a lamp, one in the den and the other is a floater..I used it to kick on the humidifier in the 2yos room this winter at night on a schedule because I hate when i leave the thing on all day and it runs dry.
I love them. I live the flexibility over a hard-wired smart outlet and because they're wifi they still work in the wink app even if your hub is offline.
