Much of the "science" of global warming is something we all learned about in high school.

That's why the theory is not controversial to the vast majority of scientists. It's fairly elementary compared to other areas of scientific study.

The minority of people that claim they don't believe in man made global warming are usually motivated to do so because they've been convinced that the tactics to be developed to fight it will somehow have an adverse financial effect on them personally, such as people with oil field jobs for example.

The majority of scientists who do not believe the effects of AGW are significant do so because it is the TRUTH. The climate has been cycling hot and cold before man existed.
