What about this obvious depiction of fantasy offends you?

Is it the lack of respect for the president it displays?

It's probably that the painting advocates the assassination of President Trump.

If you don't think that is the message of the painting then what do you think is the message of the painting?

It's not the painting, it that it was done by someone teaching, in the framework of that being the "professors" thoughts.

Do you think there would be any problem if a "professor" displayed a painting of his showing burning MKL, hanging from a burning cross with a noose around his neck while he feeds the fire? If so, what would be the nature of the problem? The lack of respect for MLK?
