“He’s good with the ball in the hands, creating for others and creating for himself,” DeMeo told Tiger Rag last week. “He’s a dynamic, clutch player. He makes a lot of shots, and he makes a lot of game winners.
“Anytime we had a crunch time play, we put the ball in his hands.”
Edwards described his visit to LSU as “amazing” and said his familiarity with Wade – who has recruited him since Wade was head coach at Chattanooga from 2013-2015 – was key in his decision.
“Coach Wade being there, that alone was a big factor,” said Edwards. “Coach Wade, I’ve been knowing him for five or six years. As soon as he got there, (LSU) was already moving up the charts.”
According to Edwards, Wade talked to him about running the point and providing leadership, critical to a team looking to bounce back off a 10-21 season.
Edwards also cited a comfort with assistant coach Greg Heiar, who Edwards said ran him through a “crazy” workout, as part of his decision.
“He plays a big role,” Edwards said. “Skill development, all that stuff. That’s one of the biggest things that was a factor in me going to my schools. I feel like I can get a lot better playing with GH. He’s a good dude on top of that. Only makes working out with someone that much better.”

Looks like a solid pickup. No easier way to rebuild a program than getting JUCO guys in. Matured bodies who can play immediately. The roster is starting to look a little clearer for next season.

I live 20 minutes from this school, got my A.A. there. I should really check out their basketball team sometime.

I really like this pickup. A 6'4" guard who shot 47% from 3pt. and can play PG if needed. I liked his comments in his interview as well. He sounds like he is focused and is a hard worker.
