quote:
The club releases naturally with good mechanics. Keeping your butt back at address (acting like a counterweight to the torso) and throughout the swing while maintaining spine angle (no early extension), then on the downswing rotating the left hip open and back, which should allow your weight to shift to the outside arch and heel of the left foot at the finish. The club should automatically stay underneath you and the have a natural release.
THIS.. All of this. Almost every amateur golfer does this yet doesn't get taught how to correct it. I struggle with it and I've been playing for 19 years. Here is a picture that might help
The picture on the left is where you want your butt throughout the swing. The picture on the right is what many people suffer from.. "Humping the goat" Which means you are lifting your right leg into your swing path causing you to flip your hands and have all sorts of mis hits.

Until I developed acute tendonitis in my left wrist last June (I had to stop golfing because of the severe pain), I was using a slow motion/stop action camera app to help me correct this. It is difficult to correct if you can't see to understand what you are doing. Once you see how ugly it is, and where you break down in the swing, it really opens your eyes to the changes you need to correct.

Butt thrusts in golf cause the worst swing issues.
Keep that golf butt back and transfer weight to that left foot - the heel
