bullshite. Bush was the first POTUS to allow federal funds for embryonic stem cell research in 2001.
Work on your reading comprehension before you get all pissed off.
Stem Cell Research =/= Phase 1 clinical trial.
First you have to do research to understand how they work. Once you do that then you can try to come up with ways to use them therapeutically. Once you do that you have to get approval for a trial.
So the first Phase 1 clinical trial was started in 2009.
