It's been ten years since I graduated LSU, and every time I visit friends/family/LSU/etc, I say, "How the hell did I live here so long?"

You're extenuating circumstance may be the cause, but I would try to move your mother closer to you.

Higher insurance, state income tax, private school all should be factored in your decision.
