Nice report. Been wanting to try Big and Little Alabama (I live 20 minutes away), but just haven't done it yet. You only went about a mile and a half from the launch (that launch has always seemed steep to me; I hunt around there all the time)?

Correct. Since I was paddling against the wind I didn't really want to fight that too much.
