The person who speculated that he feels that Jrue might be gone is Jake Madison from BSS.
On todays locked on pelicans he is expected to share his thoughts.
It was his kinda interpretation after press conference. Not an insider info.
Jake is doing great job but he has not have anyone within Pels organization.

I will say that they have gone noticeably overboard in saying how important Jrue is to the team. They talk him up as much as they talk up Mr. Benson, which is a lot and way more than should be necessary.
ETA: Just listened to Jake's podcast and I'd say he's reaching. He thinks Holiday is gone based on 2 things.
1) The Pels aren't willing to throw a max at Holiday initially and rather are willing to "let the process play out".
2) Jake's own personal conclusion is that Holiday WANTS to be the PG and the Pels see him in a more off ball role.
Regarding #1, just because the Pels want Holiday to prove he can get a Max deal doesn't mean they won't match it. I hope they don't go as high as $30 million, but the only thing they really said was they're going to let the market set his price.
As for what Holiday WANTS, the biggest knock on him is his lack of want and being too passive. He also played some of his best ball of the season pre ASB after he stopped worrying about "running the offense" and just focused on "running sets". I think we have no clue what Holiday actually wants and Jake is just projecting what he thinks most pro athletes would want. Holiday is clearly not most pro athletes and has different priorities.
In the end I think it all will come down to money. If Holiday gets offered more than the Pels are willing to pay then Demps will have once again misjudged the market and watch a player walk that he could have gotten at least a 1st round pick for.
