Same here. I just got candy in an Easter basket. And I'm still in my 20's so it's not like this was ages ago.

Same here.
A select few of my friends got gifts when I was growing up and I even found it weird back then.
I did just receive a small bag of Nerd Ropes and Pecan Eggs though, and I have to say that I am now completely content.
