From my experience with similar situations I've learned it's not always about money. If you are doing fine right now and the raise doesn't improve your life substantially then I would def stay closer to the kids. Kids need their dad.


Thankfully my family is still intact but if I was where you are I'd want to get the most time with my kids as possible.

It would pretty much double my salary. I would have so much more job satisfaction and life satisfaction as well. But idk how happy I would be without them.

Take the job.

Use skype every evening.

Negotiate more and better.

How old are they?

Ask ex to let you have joint custody when they get pubic hair. They live with you for junior high and high school.

Shes not going to like it when she has to be dad for young males 12 and up.

Discuss.
