I'm serious.
Not that I have tons of gay friends, but my wife is an architect and works with several gay guys. I have heard them laughing at at the assertion that they target straight guys to hit on.
For one thing, straight guys don't usually dress/groom well enough to pique their interest.
I've been hit on by guys before, and I have seen my friends get hit on tol. One guy (coworker of my friend's wife) even got pretty drunk and explicitly told my wife what he would do to me.
And there are far better looking guys out there than me so I'm sure it occurs quite frequently.

I've been hit on multiple times myself, including an invitation to dinner (not by an acquaintance, but by someone I had literally known for 2 minutes).
