He'll get a settlement. Airlines don't want you to think too long about the actual terms of the ticket. And they'll pay him at least 5 figures (and maybe six) just to make this go away. A trial would simply be another chance to show the video of a bloodied passenger being dragged from a plane.

I would be shocked if they did. More likely to get a couple of free tickets, and maybe the original $800 that was offered. And an apology. If he gets more than that I will be surprised.
