For the most part this. Everyone has to jump the gun on everything.
But then again, most historians are apart of the education establishment so i would expect this to be about right in their minds.

He added about 1.25 trillion per year to the debt for 8 years. Wasted tons of money with nothing to show for it.

Historians, like other academia, seem very liberal these days. It really shows in modern discussions of crusades and Islam. They take great pains to stress that western civilization is not superior in any way to any other.

Any decent historian knows it will take at least twenty years to properly judge how well someone did as President based on the long-term effects of their administration.
