All the people disappointed in Kevin not being the messiah I have a question for you : What did you expect or how would you resolve it? By having Kevin going to heaven and speak with Jesus saying, hey bro, we twins?

I don't know if anyone is disappointed in Kevin not being the Messiah it is more the fact that they introduced that entire story and nothing came from it. It really had no purpose or relation to the rest of the story.

I took it as a jab at Christianity. He obviously wasn't be Messiah, yet many desperate people wanted to believe he was and could do all of these things on his behalf. In reality, he was just a dude that couldn't die and could enter and leave the other side at will.

Notice how Matt lost his faith by the end, and they made it painfully obvious how wrong they all were by Kevin not being able to assist them with what they wanted out of him dying (kid's shoes, Evie was loved, song to stop the flood).

it was a giant jab at Christianity, and probably religion in general. Religion truly sucks in those who are desperate.
