Thick as a Brick - Tull
A Passion Play - Tull
Brain Salad Surgery - ELP
Tarkus - ELP
Kansas - Kansas
We're Only In it for the Money - Zappa*
(If this is prog rock then put it at #2)
Prog rock is a little tricky to define in most cases. Tull did some but I really don't consider Aqualung to be prog rock. For me Kansas moved from prog rock to pop by Leftoverature. Zappa dabbled in it but was never really limited to the genre. ELP kind of defined prog. rock for me.
