His style is so system oriented in the cover-3 that I see he will have a limited trade value or even free-agent value. He isn't a man-up corner. Has a great defensive line and linebackers who pressure hard with Earl Thomas who was elite at coverage and filling space in zones.
Not true; they've played more man in recent seasons than ever before. He's trailed more guys and has also played the slot. He was elite last year. This has more to do with Seattle not wanting to pay a 31 year old CB when his contract is over/get value for him while they can. I think he stays put. Jeremy lane, their NB, is strictly a nickel back, and the other starting CB from last year tore his ACL. They don't have any other corners with experience.
This is all smoke and mirrors to get him to pipe down. I hope it doesn't bite them in the arse

His year last year was his worst I seen since he was in the league.
He can cover big possession receivers, but freak no he isn't covering elite receivers one on one--the whole field. Elite cover 3 scheme corner who can defend the vertical route better than anyone I've seen in a long time; slants, corner-route etc... Yet, he declined last year anyways. That isn't just me saying that. Others around the league say it too.
Seattle is going to attempt to depart from him now while they still can get something. This has more to do with his performance and business then anything else.
