Was initially stunned bc the music and John's voice incorporated an incredibly strong twangy, Southern influence. The band certainly embraced the part with the name and wardrobe.

I learned this as a young girl, disconcerting to say the least. I called Z-98 during Hurricane Andrew and requested "Bad Moon (on the rise)" I was like 11. I memorized a full CCR album on my g-ma's stand-up record player, from 1956, which I now own, and can still sing all the lyrics....

Didn't JF get sued when he went out on his own, for sounding too much like CCR?

I didn't care. What you should be asking is whether CCR was CCR or not just John Fogerty.
