It depends on how much you drive on a daily basis and your driving behavior.
In a big city, with lots of stop and go traffic and quick stops, you're kind of hosed. The device records all of your quick stops.
I drive 50 miles per day round trip for work, so it wasn't worth it for me.

If you're in Louisiana you are going to have an above average premium compared with other states. Try it, it can't hurt.
