re: Paying child support with joint custody

I have joint custody and pay child support. There's a formula, but I pay more basically because I wanted my ex to be able to afford a house for my child in a nice neighborhood. I always tell people that think of it as giving money to the child and not the mom. Unfortunately, in many cases the moms don't always use the money as it was intended.
