So with that being said, Nier FORCES your hand in this matter from what I've read... and playing a game more than once feels like a pretty big turn-off to me, but will I still enjoy it, and be drawn into playing it more than once?

Sweet summer child

Knock out most of your sidequests in Route A. In Route B, you play the same shite as A but with a different character. Due to the nature of the 2nd character's abilities, you get lots more insight into the story. You will also be overleveled (by nature) so you can blaze through the main story. At the end of B, you start routes C/D. These run concurrently and are entirely new content/story/bosses.

Get it. Best game I've played in a while, and the story has really stuck with me since finishing.

ETA: if you want, you can skip all of B's side quests (shares unfinished side quests from A and adds a few new ones) and blaze through the main missions again, saving the side quests for later. You unlock chapter select at the conclusion of C/D, so you can always go back and do side quests later. Just know that B is the only content you play twice.

Also do not look up anything about the game. This is the last game on earth that you want spoiled for you. Ask any questions in the Nier thread

I just started playing Nier. Only about one hour in. Like the style so far. I'm hoping it picks up some steam soon.
