Because he's not the coach you see in interviews. He's a big arse to the players and treat them poorly.

As well as has his favorites, he's petty and holds grudges.

This might be true of most coaches. I would imagine that Skip dropped some F bombs on his players behind closed doors . But if Mainieri is treating his players like crap then how is he still able to recruit top 15 talent on a consistent basis ? I'm not saying that he isn't a dick. I have never spoken to him. Are players so in love with the LSU brand that they just accept his abusive coaching personality ? Does LSU baseball sell itself despite PM ?
