Get these three questions answered and you'll be able to form an answer:

1. What is the average global temperature supposed to be?
2. What will it take to get us to or back to that level?
3. What will that cost?

the thing that gets me everytime about this is this question right here. What the hell does "average global temperature" even mean?
how many points around the globe are you taking temperatures at?
at what elevation are you taking these temperatures?
Are the points you're taking these readings from out in the open air and free from shade all day from objects like buildings and trees?
How long are you gathering data for, and how often are you capturing the data over that time period?
If you're taking ocean temps, at what depth are you going?
There are so many variable that go into this "average global temperature" it's difficult to really believe anyone that publishes data, and even more difficult to compare publications b/c i'm sure not everyone is comparing apples to apples.
