The farm season was one of my favorite seasons. I like the day to day strain the characters go through though and don't care as much for the zombie stuff.
This guy gets it. The comics were never about the zombies. They are just a minor threat in this world. As long as it's not a horde of them, they are just an annoyance more than anything. The real threat is other people and funding resources. This season, like the farmhouse episodes, expresses that perfectly.

The problem with the farm season and this season isn't that there aren't enough zombies. It's the presentation of what you are saying the show is really about. They take a conflict, and then then stretch it out way beyond what it makes any sense to do from a story telling perspective to the point where people get bored with it.
They set up a problem that should be a 1 episode arc and then stretch it out over the course of 3 episodes. They set up something that should be a half season arc and stretch it over an entire season. For the farm season, an example of this was the Sophie arc. By the time they found her the audience has lost the impact of her ever being lost.
This has always kind of been a problem with the show where it goes into lulls with kind of pointless filler, but this last season has been the worst for it so far. They are spreading it way thin.
