Meh, they are covering for their cowardly state legislators who are scared of budget cuts. Their taxpaying Republican constituents aren't going to cry foul about kicking people off Medicaid and reducing their state budget. Their donors might be a little perturbed but they are outnumbered. Do you think Ohio and Pennsylvania Medicaid castoffs will roll out to vote?

California would lose $20 billion/year if Medicaid expansion were rolled back. That would pay for a new Mexico wall every year.
