I'm not saying I don't like Houston rap. I just think the greatest accumulation of talent lies in other zip codes. I think several cities in the South could lay claim to that title other than Houston

That's debatable. Houston was on top of the South in the 80's and early 90's. Miami had its thing going on in the 90's. New Orleans had a run in the late 90's to early 00's with No Limit, Mannie Fresh, etc. Atlanta had a run after that with Lil' Jon, Luda, TI and all of them. Houston again had a bunch of hits with Paul Wall, Bun B, Pimp C, Lil' Flip, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, etc. around the same time Atlanta was on top.

Then Lil Wayne was hot for several years after all that.

And that's pretty much where we are.
