3 episodes in. Really good. Better than season 2 serial for sure.

Hasn't really gone the way I thought it would. I'm halfway through Chapter 6.

The guy is Definitely a Finebaum caller for sure

What is it about? Loved 1st season of serial but the second one was pure crap.

Thanks for giving a head's up about this.
This is right up my alley and I haven't read anything about this so I'm powering through this before it ends up all over the local media.
I'm at the part in Episode 2 where Bubba is papering the world with the N-word and Brian (the reporter) talking about covering up his social media so the locals don't know he has a black wife and he has jewish ancestry.

I subscribe to Serial, so I got a teaser-promo downloaded, and it sounded interesting. Guess I'll give it a try.
And just when I was catching up on my podcasts backlog.

I'm about through Chapter I. Still not sure what I think, but it has my interest.

Finished it last night. Was decent, but I started to lose interest towards the end.

It was great. I've met all of those types of folk all over the South. But yeah, Bibb County, Alabama. John B is definitely a character and the podcast really slowed down after episode 2.

i enjoyed it but felt they could have wrapped it up in 3-4 episodes. they really stretched to get 7 episodes out of this.

My parents house is only about 3 miles from John B's place and I worked in one of the local gas stations for a summer back in high school so I probably unknowingly delt with him at some point. That being said the first half of it is incredibly fascinating but the last half is equally as boring and probably could have been edited down to 5 chapters.

Good, not great would be how I sum it up. Didn't really have that lasting power or something that makes for great conversations either with someone or in a thread like a Making a Murderer or Serial Season 1. But it's a good listen.

Listened to it last week. It was thoroughly entertaining. The dude is out there, for sure.
