Wrong, police officers and firefighters are lumped in with clerks, janitors, and all municipal retirees.
If you want to separate police and firefighters from the rest, fine. I can live with that. I agree they do risk their lives and it would be a good way to reward them; however, that's not what we do. We treat them the same as all other state retirees.
