See that sticker on it the phone? I wonder if that was some sort of approved phone or something. Like he's a member of the media or affiliated with a player and that's why he was allowed to have his phone.

I think the guy works for Augusta National and was taking video and pictures for their Instagram and other social media account.

Does it bother anyone else how guys online and on podcasts have been saying how "shocked" they are that Spieth finished where he did and didn't stay up near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday?

It's like these people forget that it's golf. I feel like ever since Tiger Woods' unprecedented extended run of dominance, people are constantly looking for the next guy to do something similar. How many times have we seen guys go a 3-4 month stretch where they look awesome and maybe unbeatable? Rory in the middle of 2012. Jason Day in the middle of 2015. Mickelson somewhere in there between 2004 and 2006, and a little bit again in 2013. Tiger in 2013. Spieth at the beginning of 2015 and really the whole year. What DJ has been doing now.

However, unlike Tiger's prime years, these guys can never really sustain that dominance. A big part of it is the better competition. But I feel like guys just go on runs, and once you lose it, it's not necessarily the easiest thing to get back to that level, especially mentally. And even more, you feel pressure to get back to that level. It would be surprising if DJ doesn't come back down to earth once he returns from this back thing. Will Jason Day ever be as good as he was for that few months back in 2015? Probably not. Yet people hold these guys, especially Spieth and McIlroy, to such a high standard.

It's ridiculous. Just because Spieth almost won all four majors in 2015 doesn't mean he's ever going to duplicate that type of season. I think Rory is the most likely guy to have multiple stretches of sheer dominance throughout his career, but you still never really know.

Idk, this shite just bothers me.
