One of Canada's strictest rules: The ball doesn’t touch the ground after a touchdown. A player must hand it to the referee. The ball never touches the ground, Canada insists to the group of coaches.
"See," he says, gesturing to the screen where a Pitt offensive tackles breaks off his touchdown celebration to hand the ball to the referee. "The ball never touches the ground."

Practices are difficult on Canada’s quarterbacks. He admits that, and reporters have noticed this during the open portion of spring drills. Practice is “the hard part,” he said. He hopes that makes the games easier. In the game, he wants his QBs to have tunnel vision. That’s the goal: block out the crowd and whatever else and focus on reading one or two defensive players, dropping back and releasing the ball before the count of 3.
I wonder if this means hard as far as the mental part of it, considering O's push to pull back on practices during the week so there was something left in the tank on Saturday's.
