Authorities said Matte initially refused to submit to a breath test but later agreed. "She failed miserably" registering a blood alcohol content of .21, well above the legal limit of .08, Dufrechou said.

Matte is scheduled to go to trial May 9 on charges of DWI and improper lane use stemming from an offense on Dec. 7, St. Tammany Parish Clerk of Court records show. She also was arrested on a DWI charge by Causeway police in June 2016, authorities said.

She's fricked. Prayers to all the families involved, including hers. None of them will ever be the same.
It's interesting how your perspective changes when you have kids. I'm all for any measure that will keep my kids safe. Like breathalyzers in every vehicle. Is there a lobby group(Detroit, alcohol) that would vehemently oppose this? I know I would have up until my kids were born.
