And? The structures were in place and functioning as per the moral standards of the time. What did you expect? Major changes take time. Its sort of like the USA now. The idiotic morality and "culture" of the last half century, foisted upon people by the liberal left will take time to change completely. Certain changes can be made and built upon, but not until all you leftist nutsacks age and die off, will a new period of enlightenment be fully realized.

Same thing with the era of slavery.
