Didn't mean to give credence to the comparison.
Just to point out that Churchill was not the Saint he is exalted as in history, much like Abraham Lincoln people over look some of the historical facts and just let the end results tell the tell.

I agree, but if you had been raised on personal family stories of people that died of starvation during that time, you might not feel that way.
So, yeah, he's wrong, but I imagine a lot of people are going to get way too bent out of shape over what boils down to a moment of hyperbole.

Not just Churchill, but the Britains overall. They (and the French) fricked Africa pretty bad and left a mess in the Middle East after they broke up the Ottoman Empire.
As a matter of fact, most of the international problems we have today can be linked to the British Empire.
