When villains/enemies capture James Bond, they never shoot him in the head.

I understand the impulse to kill someone in a slow and painful manner, but if you're a brilliant leader, why not supervise the process so that you can ensure your henchmen act as they are trained in the event things go wrong? Shouldn't someone have a gun in hand?

Why not provide henchmen with higher quality marksmanship training? If you're an evil multi-billionaire, shouldn't this be a negligible expense?

Why wouldn't you strip him naked before having him lowered into a pit of sharks?

If you're going to torture him for information, why not start cutting off toes and fingers? For a guy known for his sexual prowess, why not start cutting some balls? Is genital mutilation really off the table? I know it was tried a couple of times (Goldfinger and Casino Royale), but neither effort was well thought out.

If you want a glorious way to watch him suffer and die,why not douse with gasoline and light it?
