They're the same place, basically, with different signs. Pot and Paddle was started by the owners of a Jambalaya Shoppe franchise that burnt down, so they REALLY are pretty much the same place.

The jambalaya is okay, but I'm not a huge jambalaya fan. When I want a good Cajun gumbo and don't want to make it myself, either one will do in Baton Rouge. However, around Lafayette, I'm not so sure they're going to be able to compete with the local places. Their roast (Pot and Paddle, at least. Don't know if Jambalaya Shoppe does one), again, is okay but there are going to be way better local places around Lafayette.

In short, for the Baton Rouge area, they're interchangable and pretty good, but I think around Lafayette, they're going to be outclassed by a good number of the local places.
