NOOOOOOO!
Battery technology has not yet advanced far enough to make electric cars work from an engineering or efficiency standpoint
Ask your Tesla sales rep :
How long will this batter pack last?
How much will it cost to replace?
What happens to the old battery pack?
And finally,
How much will my electric bill at home be impacted by charging this vehicle.!!!?
Gonna be great when the engineering actually works but not yet.

Already went through all this with my Tesla sales rep, baw. You can see exactly how much - little, to be precise - you'd be paying in electricity costs compared to the cost of gas by going to the nifty calculator on their website: LINK . Just plug in your energy rate and expected mileage and you'll see the difference. It's huge.
Also, no need to worry about the battery. The Tesla Roadster debuted over 10 years ago and you don't see anyone complaining. Not to mention Tesla offers an 8 year, infinite mile battery warranty. Also, with the investments being made in the gigantic battery gigafactories, the price of these batteries will continue to drop.
In other words... they've already thought of all of that. Next question.
