For season ticket holders, although it's just 2 hours per game, it's still a decent annual expense. Don't they have the right to get some return on their investment? I don't think anyone on this thread is asking for anything for free. It's no different than any other seller/buyer interaction.

It's about cost-benefit. Is it really worth a HUNDRED MILLION dollars just so the arena is aesthetically pleasing when the lights come on?
The next thing you know people will be saying, "Gee, Tiger Stadium is so old and outdated, we should tear it down and build a new one that looks nice and is 'up-to-date'."
