If you live in Portland, the Gov wants you to allow homeless people in your back yard

2 years to build the units, but the program starts this summer. So they live in your back yard for 2ish years.
Then they will build the unit, and in 5 years you own it.
1- What if the homeless person is still there? Can you force them out?
2- Is the unit going to be in any shape to rent out after that time?
It's there city... your yard.... But.... wow.

I'm more worried about being chopped up into little pieces. How about the homeless live in the backyards of every government official/ employee?

I don't have a problem with it. I DO have a problem when the liberal loons try to force other people to let homeless people live in their back yard.
I don't see that there is much chance that any of those tiny homes are going to be worth much, unless the city pays to fix it up at the end of 5 years. You can have a perfectly good bathroom in that house, and these homeless people will still shite on the front stoop...

Meaning they would first have to kick the homeless out after five years (good luck with that) and then they would have to pay to completely renovate it to remove all of the health hazards that come with a homeless person calling it home for an extended period of time.

This is just a boondoggle to let people skim money. The units are going to cost $75000 each, for something you could buy from tuffshed for $4k. I live across the river from Portland and everyone in the surrounding areas knows Portland is full of some special kind of crazy. Lots of good food and beer though

I guess their sidewalks are all filled. I have never seen more 20-something white homeless people in my life.

In many cases, it does indeed mean all that. While there are some that wind up homeless without having drugs, alcohol, etc to blame, to think of them as the majority is to be purposely blind.
Anyone honest whose worked with the homeless will tell you that while many are grateful for whatever assistance they receive, their self-destructive behavior is usually the cause of their plight and it's not often that they change enough for them to become truly independent.

Homeless people are homeless for a reason. I wouldn't want them in my backyard shooting heroin or doing drugs of any kind.

Portland has a huge mess...been a problem for a long time...huge tent cities under bridges.
Portland will pay homeless to get out and give them $500 and a bus ticket to S.F. For a hipster city they are really image conscious and hate the homeless situation.
S.F. doesn't give a frick about image. They revel in it.
