It’s not fair to blame Cutler for all of the Bears’ failures in the past eight years. He didn’t fail to bring in young talent as the defense aged, or have so many misses and so few hits with draft picks. He didn’t fire Lovie Smith, hire Marc Trestman in a stunningly bad move, then fire Trestman and hire John Fox. Outside the broken thumb, his many injuries are not his fault.
