In 1993, went to final four. I was a resident. An intern had the idea of us walking over to the dome and asking if anyone wanted to sell there tickets after Michigan beat Kentucky. A kentucky guy (after they lost to Michigan) asked why we were wearing scrubs (they weren't nearly as common to be seen in Public). Told him we were residents and he gave us his tickets to the Final game.

I'm a little bummed that I won't be going with him. But, after hearing just how excited his dad is to go (he is super excited, saying he never thought in his life he would ever actually go), I'm glad I didn't push to go.

See. Kentucky people are nice 
Only final 4 I've been to was for lsu. They didn't play great and we had to drive back to Louisville from Indianapolis in a tornado outbreak.
